Samhain Dance

We’re stealing back Halloween and lifting the mask of dance! Following the fantastic Autumn Equinox dance we are delighted to be offering another chance for an extended dance as we journey into the darkness of Samhain: Halloween. Join us on Friday 3rd Nov (between calendar and lunar Samhain) for an evening of dance and campfire circle as we dance on the soils of our ancestors; the perfect opportunity to retreat into our darkness, as life does the same.

For this extended dance evening we will be spending longer in the dance - in the trance - than we usually do in our weekly sessions. The dance journeys will be held inside but we have the wonderful opportunity to use the beautiful outdoor forest space afterwards to sit round a fire and reflect. Not enough time is usually available for us to share our dance experiences deeply as a group or just sit in the space of what has just taken place; sometimes words are superfluous to actually physically assimilating the journey but all the same it is beautiful to do this as a group. 

There will also be a specific written release offering to the fire that is similar to journalling but can act in a much more powerful way. 

Come by yourself or with a friend; all are welcome and, as usual, no dance experience is necessary.   

What to bring? IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ:

- Comfortable and weather appropriate clothing for sitting round the fire at the end.

- Extra blankets and / or a cushion to sit on round the fire. We will be on benches but after dancing it is important to stay warm.

- Money, card payment or Ringo App for car parking.

- A journal or notepad if you wish to make reflections

- A packed tea or snack for yourself and a mug. We will provide herbal teas and light refreshments. 

- Comfortable shoes if you do not want to dance barefoot.

- Something to add to the alter if you wish.

- Yourself - and a desire to move!

We cannot escape the never-ending booking/transaction/service fees that get lumped onto our dancers and us here at EOD HQ. We are now consciously trying our best to avoid these fees that get gobbled up by giants much bigger than us. In light of this, we are asking those wishing to book onto any of our events, that they consider payment through BACs, PayPal (friends and family) or cash. We understand if you are new to booking an event with us that you may prefer to book via our website for protection reasons, however by paying us through the ways already mentioned, both parties avoid paying extra costs and we will always send you a confirmation email once payment has been received. Please note that tickets to any of our events are non-refundable. We have decided to add the cost of the fees we incur onto the website ticket price to prevent further losses in the future - this is why our ticket prices are slightly higher on our website. If you would also prefer to avoid paying extra, and are happy to pay via BACs, PayPal (friends and family) or cash, please transfer your payment to PayPal (info@elementsofdance.earth) and reference your name and event. Please email us if you would like to pay BACs or cash.
